Crew IOU and BookoGo documents
Last updated: September 2026
Crew IOU and BookoGo prepare invoices, expense claims and booking documents from the details you enter: your registration status, your rates, your customer's details. JottoGo uses the best public information available for each country's document rules and tax rates, keeps it under review, and does not guarantee that it is current or that it fits your situation. Whether you should register for GST or VAT, what rate applies, and what a document must show for your business is for you to confirm with your accountant or tax adviser. JottoGo is not a tax adviser and is not responsible for the tax treatment or contents of documents you issue.
Crew IOU and BookoGo documents are an early release. Before you send or rely on a document, check that it meets all of your legal requirements. If you notice something wrong or missing, let us know right away and we will put it right as soon as we can. A fix applies to documents issued after it; a document you have already sent stays as it was, and you may need to issue a correction. Let us know.
Invoice PDF generation and privacy
Last updated: August 2026
When you create an invoice or another PDF document with BookoGo or Crew IOU, you ask JottoGo to generate that PDF on your behalf.
To provide that service, JottoGo sends the document contents, including business, contact, invoice, and payment or bank details you enter, to API2PDF, a third-party PDF generation provider, solely to generate the PDF.
API2PDF states that it does not store or log API request payload data and that generated PDFs are automatically deleted from its storage after 24 hours. Read API2PDF's data handling statement, Privacy Policy, and Terms of Service.
By creating the PDF, you authorize JottoGo to provide that content to API2PDF for this purpose and confirm that you have the right to include the information in the document.
Google Maps search features
Last updated: August 2026
JottoGo offers optional address autocomplete and venue search using Google Maps Platform. You may always enter a business or billing address manually instead of using autocomplete.
Your use of Google Maps features is subject to the Google Maps Platform Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.
Crew IOU tax calculations
Last updated: August 2026
Where JottoGo has activated tax calculation for a country, Crew IOU may use Avalara AvaTax to estimate transaction tax before an invoice is issued. When tax calculation is enabled for Crew IOU, JottoGo sends Avalara the supplier and service addresses, service date, country and region, currency, generic service category or tax code, and line amounts needed to calculate tax. JottoGo does not send Avalara names, email addresses, phone numbers, payment or bank details, receipt files, or crew-entered descriptions for this calculation.
A calculation can be unavailable, expire, or require more information. JottoGo may block Issue rather than guess a tax result. The supplier remains responsible for reviewing the invoice and for their own registration, reporting, and tax obligations; neither JottoGo nor a provider calculation is legal or tax advice.
Sandbox calculations are test estimates only. Avalara documents the separation between its sandbox and production environments. JottoGo does not treat a sandbox result as permission to issue an invoice in a closed country.
Crew IOU and BookoGo tax suggestions
Last updated: August 2026
Reference rates are suggestions, not tax advice or a determination that tax applies. You decide whether to charge tax and remain responsible for checking the label, rate, registration details, and tax treatment before issuing a document.
JottoGo refreshes a reference table periodically rather than asking a provider to calculate each invoice. On a quarterly schedule, JottoGo may send only a country code and, for Canada, a province or territory code to VAT Sense or TaxID.dev to refresh its own reference-rate table. JottoGo does not send either provider names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, tax-registration numbers, invoice contents, prices, bank details, property details, or other customer or crew data.
VAT Sense describes its service in its rates API documentation and provides separate terms. A provider response, JottoGo suggestion, or previously saved rate is not a guarantee that a rate is current or that a particular stay, service, or reimbursement is taxable.
Snag Flag reporting
Last updated: August 2026
Snag Flag is an operational reporting tool, not an emergency service. Marking a report urgent does not contact emergency services or guarantee a response time. For danger or an emergency, use the appropriate local emergency service and the property's established safety process.
A reporter must have permission to submit the report and any photo. Property hosts remain responsible for reviewing reports, deciding what action is required and ensuring that authorised people can access the information.
